MoveTara Stay is a consumer-facing hostel and PG booking platform operated by MoveTara ("Company"). This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the MoveTara Stay mobile application and describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you search for, book, and pay for accommodation through our platform. Welcome to MoveTara Stay ("we", "us", "our", or the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how MoveTara, a company headquartered at Hyderabad, Telangana 500019, India, founded by Pradhudas Avanigadda and Parise Lakshmi Venkata Subrahmanyam, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the MoveTara Stay mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect or store your credit/debit card numbers, CVV, bank account details, biometric data, contacts, call logs, SMS content, or microphone/camera recordings. All payment card data is processed exclusively by Razorpay and never touches our servers.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

Property Partners are contractually obligated to use your data solely for the purpose of your stay and must comply with applicable data protection laws.

We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MoveTara, our users, or the public.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes. We do not display your phone number or personal details publicly on the platform.

MoveTara Stay uses Razorpay Software Private Limited as its exclusive payment gateway for all in-app transactions.

MoveTara Stay is a consumer accommodation booking platform intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect, process, or store personal data from children under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us immediately at privacy@movetara.com and we will delete such data within 72 hours.
Your data is primarily stored and processed in India. However, some of our third-party service providers (Firebase/Google, Expo) may process data in other jurisdictions. In such cases:

You can enable or disable notifications at any time from your device Settings or within the App under Profile → Notification Preferences. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App or manage bookings.
